What you need to know
- While protecting a file, its owner may have chosen 'Lock file to device on first use'. This feature allows the file to be opened only from the device it's first opened on.
- In this section, we'll see how you can remotely remove this lock as an administrator. Once the lock is removed, the file can be opened on any supported device by authorized recipients.
- As a security admin, you can remove the lock for files protected by any users within the scope of your Organizational Unit, or OU. If you're a Global security admin, you can do this for files protected by any user of the organization.
- You’ll need to sign in to Seclore if you’re not signed in already. See the following page if you need help signing in to Seclore.
